Trump on Bullshit Social:

"I am in the process, along with my team, of interviewing various law firms to represent me in an Appeal of one of the most ridiculous and unfair Witch Hunts our Country has ever seen—The defamation Sham presided over by a Clinton appointed, highly partisan, Trump Hating Judge, Lewis Kaplan, who was, together with certain other Radical Left Democrat Judges, one of the most partisan and out of control activists that I have ever appeared before. He was a "bully" who demanded two trials, rather than one, denied me Due Process, would not allow me to put forth vital evidence (of which there was much!), and only allowed me to be on the witness stand for minutes, telling my lawyer what to ask, and telling me to only give one word answers, as his wife and friends sat in cordoned off front row seats watching with glee. This entire HOAX is a disgrace to our American System of Justice. Any lawyer who takes a TRUMP CASE is either "CRAZY," or a TRUE AMERICAN PATRIOT. I will make my decision soon!

Trump's discussions with his "team" as I imagine it:

"This Alina Habba...she's great, isn't she? Great figure. Really great lawyer. What do you think?"

Sir, her biggest client before you was a parking garage. She has no idea what she's doing in a defamation case. Please choose someone else.

"Have you seen her? If I weren't married, I think I'd like to date her. Great tits. Great lawyer. I'm going to hire her. She's a winner."

Sir, ah...we've identified several firms who specialize in this sort of thing and are willing to work for a retainer that's perfectly reasonable.

(Trump crosses his arms and pouts)

Okay sir. We've warned you, but you're the boss.

Trump now: "Why didn't you tell me? She's the worst attorney ever! Get me someone better! I can't believe you recommended Habba!"
One of my father's favorite figures of speech was, "Your chickens came home to roost." I knew it meant something bad happened to you, but after hearing it a couple hundred times over the years, I finally asked what it really meant. He said, every farm has a small flock of feral chickens which roost in a tree, instead of the hen house. Every evening at sundown, they fly to their favorite tree to sleep for the night. Just before falling asleep, they all defecate in unison. The ground is well marked. If you happen to be standing under the tree at that moment, you have no one to blame for yourself when a shower of chicken shit pours down.

Trump's chickens have truly returned to the roost and he is tied to the tree.

It's the line from The Great Gatsby about rich people, “They smashed up things and creatures and then retreated back into their money or their vast carelessness, or whatever it was that kept them together, and let other people clean up the mess they had made.”

Trump has always been able to retreat into his money, but now there's not enough money in the world to cover his retreat.

Even Trump isn't dumb enough to be unaware that his entrance into politics has brought almost all these legal disasters down on his head. This son of a bitch needs to die cursing the fact that he left the world of business fraud for power-seeking.

I'm not so sure about that. IMO, Trump got "high on his own supply." It started as a grift - "I'll run for President and use it to make a lot of money", but then he won...and had a whole lot of people calling him "Mr. President" and doing his bidding at the drop of a hat. I think that - on some level - he genuinely believes he's the rightful President of the United States and that he was "robbed" of his place in charge of everything. He's Tony Montana in his mansion.

Actually it's not unusual to hire differant law firms to handle appeals.

Ford is right, though.

Trump likes to surround himself with attractive women. He cares about their looks far more than he cares about their competence, which is probably why he wound up with Alina Habba representing him in a high-profile, high-stakes trial she was in no way prepared to handle.

He'll be looking for a beauty pageant winner. If she graduated from a high profile law school, even better, but the beauty matters more to him than the expertise.

Central Casting is very important to Cheato. There is no chance of winning ANY of the cases against him on the facts. He’s guilty as hell and he knows it. But if he can play the victim with the beautiful (are his eyes going too?) women, and turn out the STOOPID vote in sufficient numbers, nothing else matters.
SCOTUS will keep him on all the States’ ballots and make sure he can’t be convicted of any felonies before the election.
Right now, nothing matters but the stage play.

Yes he is that dumb... but it is like a wish from a Genie, maybe you will luck out and not be screwed over.

his bank accounts and other assets would be siezed by the court and turned over to EJC.
Seized how? Does he own anything he doesn’t owe more than it’s worth?
I think third parties are holding all the paper on stuff he supposedly “owns”.
The property can still be siezed and he would still owe the creditors his debt.
Disagree--I believe you have to pay the creditor before you get anything. On the other hand, his being judgment-proof would show he's no billionaire. If they can't find stuff to seize they'll call him to a debtor hearing where he has to answer questions about assets. Blowing off those is how people end up in jail over debt.

What was the last court case he actually won?
He has “won” every fraud case that he settled out of court.
Trump knows he can always “win” as long as he can out-grift the demands of settlements.

I've gotta be honest, I think American Cognitive tests are a lower standard than the rest of the world.
Jebus! Today on, that didn't come out the way I was thinking....

"One of the most partisan and out of control activists that I have ever appeared before."

Unless you are a lawyer, making a statement indicating you've been in court a lot isn't exactly a good thing. Good luck with the lawyer hunt. Remember, they'll want cash up front.

I hear what you're saying here.
But man, $90M is a lotta grifting, even for him.

Well, to beat this dead horse down to the bone, Trumpie is bleating that all of these cases constitute politically motivated election interference. So, he is that smart. He has to be nostalgic for the 80s, 90s, and 00s, when he & Daddy pulled all their grift and cheated the IRS and never, as far as I know, were stung with anything like $83M judgments. So, yeah, he's smart enough to know that he makes a gigantic target because he's under scrutiny as never before. He's the good guy in this fantasy, he's still fighting for "Peace Through Earth" (Jesus Christ, he's talking like Be Best Melania now) and The Forgotten Man, and the only reason he's being dragged through the courts is that he was America's Best President and incidentally, a very stable genius and the possessor of a massive johnson. If the New York judgment adds another 370M to those losses, and cancels his license to do business in NY, he'll be even crazier and more rage-filled. And Trump has made me as sadistic as he is: I want bad things to continue to befall him, and I want him to go to his dirt nap with a cratered-out empire, cursing his career in politics.

I think he hauled in a quarter billion in about two weeks after he was first indicted. 90m$ is chump change.
