I am enjoying a morning repast of home made cinnamon currant bread, toasted, with butter and rhubarb marmalade that I made yesterday. A cup of coffee with French Vanilla cream to accompany this treat and a good start to this day.

I have just placed my lemon kale chips in the oven and I am awaiting the outcome. As my creations have a capacity for vanishing soon after completion, this time I took the photo before it went into the oven, lol.
The kale was picked immediately prior to preparation so it does not get any fresher than this!

This was lunch the other day...

On the wooden platter is a ploughman's lunch of bread, cheese and pickles. The other meal is of Steak and Ale pie with veg and chips.

Both very delicious and washed down with a nice ale for the ploughman's and a wine for the pie.

I made the lemon kale chips again today when Mother came to visit. They are so much more photogenic before they are baked and they taste absolutely scrumptious just minutes out of the oven. I also made some chocolate Pizzelle cookies for Mother and sent her home with half of the batch. She took a few photos while I was making them so I will post an image or two later, once she emails me the pictures.
