I think the weapons that have blown a hole in our budget is the military's greatest strength. "Diverse" cannon fodder not so much.

No, they are "diversity washing" the waste and killing by our military which still kills lots of brown people. It would be better to have a somewhat less diverse military if it also wasted and killed less. But at any rate they are not related.

Is the proper way to flip a bird to have your minor knuckles in front of the middle finger? It never occurred to me, but I have always done it with the middle finger in front. How do you do it, and which one is the right way?

I've always done it with the knuckles sharply bent and sticking out front. The other way looks like little kid first learning how to flip a proper bird and not quite getting it. That way lacks the style and precision expressed in the sharp-knuckle form.
