You're not even supposed to BE ABLE to do that. This is no surprise, except that despite reassurances "law enforcement" was not prepared to prevent this, either through incompetence or by design.

Surely Trausti, RVonse, Swizzle et al can explain how an angry mob violently breaking and entering the Nation's capitol to disrupt constitutionally required proceedings, is perfectly reasonable. Maybe the fact that they were incited to do this at the direction of a President who cannot be indicted for anything no matter what, lets them off the hook?

I wonder why Derec isn't here to condemn the property damage.

I think the official stance on security in the Capitol is shoot first, ask later. These protesters are lucky, that such a stance is not being taken, because there would be dozens of dead protestors inside that building.

I keep hearing "Nobody expected this." Bullshit! It was obviously not unlikely. When I saw the size of the Trump rally I had a premonition.

Why were the Capitol Police so unprepared? How many policemen were available? Why didn't they have tear-gas or such? Why didn't they telephone for emergency help as soon as they saw the aggressiveness of the Trumpists?

There will be a silver lining if some of the semi-Trumpists repent in the aftermath of this disgusting demonstration. What are the chances of that?
