Mueller investigation

She wouldn't be my first pick, but I wouldn't be upset about it, either.

I think she's the best pick - for now. If/when the waters begin to calm, it's time for new leadership. I suspect she understands this and will spend the next year grooming someone or ones to take it over.

There's also a fairly long list of potential 2020 Dem candidates, and most of them women. I'm not getting too attached to specific names right now. I'm good with most of them.

I'm good with a Magic 8-ball right now. At least it can provide a coherent answer.

I'm getting deja vu here. I thought the record of him being in Prague at that time was already discovered evidence early this year. Maybe that was just witness testimony. I don't know. I thought it was well established before now that he was there.

I believe it was reported that Mueller had confirming info of the Prague trip but the nature of the confirmation was not reported. So 2 anonymous sources leaked that Mueller had such evidence. So, now we are hearing what the evidence was, cell phone records--more specifics. It is also possible you read additional info about someone concluding what kind of evidence it must have been?

Ah, yeah. That makes sense.

It was part of the Steele dossier that said Cohen was there to pay off the DNC hackers. Cohen vehemently denied ever being there, most notably on Hannity.

If I were working for Putin, I'd probably deny it, too. That guy could have me killed in protective custody in a jail.

That total does not count any congressional inquiries, nor does it include any other inquiries into other administration officials unrelated to Russia.
Well, unrelated NOW, but when Foreign Involvement becomes an accepted fact, the defenses will claim these brave souls misappropriated, or abused, or flat out stole in order to subtly invite investigations, sort of a Trojan Horse crime to let agents into the inner workings of criminal activity they dared not reveal out loud.

OR-

Your honor, in the fzzce of the treason, the corruption, the alienation of allies, ant the long term effects on the economy, my client's tiny, little, forgivable mistake is hardly worth taking the court's time. My client pleads small fish in a big, stinky, cesspit of crime, and we'll just let ourselves out. Thank you.

Nobody cares about Michael Avenatti anymore except right wing authoritarian followers seeking easy targets.

The word “Russia” eliminates all rational thought in journalists

Tucker Carlson said:
After two long years of the most expensive and wide-ranging independent counsel investigation in a generation, we should be close to nabbing those dastardly secret agents from Russia who supposedly hacked our presidential election. Are we? No, we’re not. Robert Mueller’s prosecutors are instead threatening elderly men with life in prison for petty crimes. Crimes that have nothing to do with spying or Russia or anything else that threatens America. The whole thing is a grotesque joke. But you’d never know that from watching cable television. … The word itself is a kind of magical incantation that eliminates all skepticism and rational thought in journalists. Whatever the claim is, they believe it wholeheartedly. Not just because they’re dumb, though obviously, they are dumb. But because — Russia!!!!!! It’s a spell, like ‘eye of newt.'

It’s really sad that one of the few places really questioning this hegemony of nonsense is Fox News.

As long as we're making fun of failed political predictions...

Politico has a list of the 20 worst political predictions of the year and — surprise, surprise — Fox News hosts and guests and other assorted wingnuts are responsible for a whole bunch of them, including two of the top three. Several of them involved predictions that Mueller’s investigation would end and find nothing was done wrong by anyone.

It's really sad that you think Fox News or Tucker Carlson really question anything.
