Mueller investigation

It really looks like this is a delay tactic until they can get Mueller fired.

Step One: Release Memo to public
Step Two: Trump has Rosenstein fired.
Step Three: Next guy comes in.
Step Four: He is fired.
Step Five: Recently appointed Yes-Man takes over.
Step Six: Yes-Man fires Mueller.
Step Seven: Unknown as to Mueller's involvement with NY and Virginia AGs and ability to shift files over. Would presume that he'd need to do so sometime during steps Two and Six.
Step 8: Mueller, now a private citizen, starts dumping dirt on the media.
Step 9: Dems win the House and the Senate in fall elections.
Step 10: Cheato is impeached, indicted, convicted and jailed, along with his former Congresscritter co-conspirators.

Oh well... we can dream, can't we?

Dreaming is what most of the posters in this thread seem to be doing.

Acting US Attorney General fired over Flynn
FBI Director fired over Flynn
US District Attorney overseeing Russian firm money laundering case (same people that met Jr) fired
Deputy Director of FBI pressured to be quit and be fired and has resign
Memo release likely to lead to firing of second in charge at Justice Dept.

Yeah, nothing to see here. Completely normal to see when an investigation is on going.

It's been said by Chris Mathews that Cheetolini wants to "slow walk" at Saturday Night Massacre. We shall see.

If there is any genius to Trump's madness, it is his skill at weaseling his way out of legal restrictions. He and his advisers have past scandals such as Watergate, the Iran-Contra conspiracy, and Clinton's impeachment to inform their tactics. This slow-walking of the massacre looks a little like a wrestler striving to find a hold that will work to pin his opponent. Some moves work, others fail. Look at how skillfully they have finessed Executive Privilege. Administration officials never assert it, so they can't be sued in court for violating it. They never assert the Fifth, either. Instead, they just refuse to respond to questions they don't want to answer on the vague grounds that the President may want to assert some kind of privilege at a later date. They are consummate weasels.

"It depends upon what the meaning of the word 'is' is." Bill Clinton - Weasel?

Another irrelevancy. Who cares about Bill Clinton? He's not in the White House firing people left and right who might pose a threat to him. Can you talk about that Trump and the GOP are doing now?

Show some evidence. There hasn't been any that I've seen so far. Trump is probably innocent of what he's been accused of regarding Russia. That makes this entire conversation less relevant than the quote from Bill Clinton.

There is plenty to criticise Trump on regarding policy. There's no need for this paid for Russian allegation to be bothered with.

Bill Clinton is not evidence of anything being discussed here. Trump is a god damn weasel. His every word and action is evidence of that. Bill Clinton isn't. Stop flooding the thread with detractions and irrelevancies.

Don jr met with Russians willingly to get dirt on Clinton. There was some kind of quid pro quo hope by the Russians on the deal. Additionally, Trump dictated a letter to be sent pretending to be from Jr saying they would be transparent but won't answer questions. Thats fraudulent. Coupled with very specific admin officials such as Big Papa meeting the Russians to discuss working with them and then lying about it AND Big Papa having discussions with upper managemt about this, it turns out Russia collusion with the Trump admin is not a nothing burger.

Who wouldn't on their opponent? Let's say there was something really damaging to Clinton that was detramental to the country and this was learned of from Russians? You wouldn't want to know? I would.

They were interested in adoption and William Browder who had evaded taxes in Russia.

That's quite a leap!

You have just explained perfectly why the only rational response to that email was to contact the FBI.

Who wouldn't on their opponent?
Anyone with a modicum of ethics OR sufficient awareness to wonder if it might be a sting OR bald self-interest and not wanting to put themselves in a position that they owed a foreign power a favor, money, or other considerations.

No. I would not trust a Russian source that their offering this information was to the nation's benefit.

Also, i would be faced with the question of how would i USE information i obtained illegally? How would i make a charge stick, if someone asked for the source, the evidence, the reason to think that what i said was true?

Nope. Call the FBI, let them follow the lead. That's what they're for.

Wasn't the acting attorney general fired because she would not defend Trump's executive order? And the Deputy FBI director instructed to resigned by the FBI director after the Inspector General discovered that he knew of Clinton's undisclosed emails for over a month and did not inform Congress. You really need to wake up, dude. Or pass me what you're smoking.

You assume Trumps are rational. They may actually believe deep state conspiracy.

Changing American policy on Russian adoption to get info on an opponent. That's collusion.

No. ETA: Big Papa pled guilty. That he spoke and worked with upper management is clear. It just isn't in evidence that Trump knew. If that's your gripe, well, even if he didn't know, his actions afterward re Jr were near impeachable. The investigation doesnt just cover impeachment though. More facts on who Big Papa worked with in upper management are needed. Those admin members probably also need to be charged.

You seem to be doing well with the obfuscation.

No, she was fired for telling Trump something he already knew, but for which he needed plausible deniability - that his NATIONAL SECURITY ADVISOR had lied to the FBI. Defying his illegal order was just an excuse. But surely you already knew that... you resemble your orange icon in so many ways!

But would Hillary herself have done so? I think it's pretty clear she would not have and actually have not. She paid for that dossier and then sit on it. She did not trust FBI with her emails either.

Let's say there was something really damaging to Clinton that was detrimental to the country and this was learned of from Russians? Wouldn't you want to know? I would.
No. I would not trust a Russian source that their offering this information was to the nation's benefit.
But you trust the information from a dossier based on interviews with Russian prostitutes? :slowclap:
