Pelosi: Impeachment Is Moving Forward

That has been the case since at least the 8th of October, 1998. You know, when Dershowitz, Starr and Graham all believed that a President didn't need to commit a crime to be impeached. Or did you forget that precedent?

Perjury is a crime, though. Clinton committed a crime plain as day. Trump has not.

I'd have a lot more respect if Republicans grew some fucking balls and said, "Even a President should be held accountable for their actions." And you're right, a dangerous precedent is being set here. The next time a Democrat is voted in, they are allowed to use the State Department to smear political rivals, completely ignore anything Congress does (divine rule in other words) and basically use the Executive office to line their own pockets without fear of consequence. You seem to be fine with that. Most people aren't, however

We believe Presidents should be held accountable. That's why we were pointing out everything Obama did and Dems ignored it.

and you forgot the 25 years the GOP have been hounding Hillary just for being Hillary...and despite everything, they still cannot find an actual crime.
Trump, on the other hand, has committed actual crimes. We all saw him doit on television.
He has admitted to fraud.
He has admitted to embezzling charity donations.
So, yeah, fuck him. Let the record show this charlatan was only tolerated by The Right.
so, you would respect The Dems, if they were to become GOP parrots and repeat FOX lies?
Uh.... i think we will pass on that.
It would still be downright pathetic, but at least they would be telling the truth. Get some backbone, Dems.
uh huh....
At least the Clinton impeachment was towards the end of his 2nd term. He couldn't be re-elected. At least you know there was integrity there.
you also forget how each GOP celebrity has done a complete 180 on the Constitution, crimes, witnesses, and the integrity of the process.
As we've all know for years, Republicans can come together and support our President for the common good.
nope. For their own power. Not the commoners.
Check soybean sales this year?

Keith, in 2016 you guys were saying, "No chance Trump EVER gets elected! LOL!" It backfired. You guys just don't seem to learn from the past.

What's that got to do with Dershowitz, Starr and Graham all saying that a President didn't need to commit a crime to be impeached? That's right, nothing.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Thanks, I needed that this morning. You believe that only certain Presidents should be held accountable as your whataboutism clearly shows. At least we've moved on from trying to assert that Trump didn't subvert the will of Congress to extort a foreign power to smear a political rival. So that's progress of a sorts. I'm still nonplussed as to why some Americans are fine with it. If Trump tried this type of shit in Australia he would have had a leadership spill before he hung up the fucking phone.

you DO recall that Bonespurs lost the popular vote, right?

It didn't 'backfire.'

And seriously, what does this have to do with the crimes he has committed, before and after his inaguration, INCLUDING the ones he admitted to in court?

He would only testify if subpoenaed? Of course, anyone would. He has to by law.

Besides, we know people lie under oath. See Bill Clinton. "He said it under oath!" doesn't mean much either. O.J. said under oath he never killed anyone.

His Flatulence has required non-disclosure agreements. Testifying without a subpoena could get him sued.

As for Clinton--what is consistently ignored there is that the Republicans had already defined sex as penis-in-vagina. All he did was third base--not sex by their definition. Clinton exploited a mistake by the other side, he didn't lie under oath.

This is just one bystander’s view. I do not watch ANY cable news (I do not have cable TV), other than what I walk past. And FOX is very easy to predict and identify. Very very easy. Play me 3 notes and I can correctly identify it. All of the others? The content is so diverse and varied that you cannot tell by the content alone who it is.

So I can’t tell the difference between any of the talking heads by sight (even aside from my very real difficulties in telling different people apart in the first place), but the content of FOX is so simplistic, so angry, so aggressively propagandistic, and so reliably all of these, that “echoing FOX” is something that even a media recluse like myself can readily detect.

It’s interesting.

This reminds me of a long-ago observation about Rush Limbaugh. Three times I accidentally tuned him in with the seek button on the radio while between cities. I didn't recognize his voice, each time I recognized him from his tactics: he would say something that was true, then something else that was true, implying but not stating that it was the same thing being talked about. (The one that still sticks with me: The first fact was talking about the failure rate of condoms. His numbers were the in-use pregnancy rate expressed on an annual basis, but the units were not specified. His second was treating failures as per-use and resulting in HIV infection. Since it was a hypothetical there was no lie.)

It should be pointed out that Bondi was at one time suing trump. When she was offered a generous settlement, she dropped the case.

Actually she was a prosecutor investigating the dirty Trump University. Bonespurs gave her a $25,000 campaign fund donation and she dropped the case. So she allowed herself to be bribed while working as a civil servant. A perfect lawyer for Trump.

Was someone prosecuted for this?

Still doesn't sound as bad as Bernie Sanders being kicked out of a commune in 1970 because he refused to contribute anything to it. Imagine if that was Trump. You guys would be saying, "Trump's uselessness confirmed."

In cases like this it can be hard to prove quid pro quo. She said the investigation wasn't needed because the New York case covered the same thing. Proving guilt beyond a reasonable doubt would be very, very hard.

What FOX does is report the news from the other side. Since most people just read leftist newsites, of course they will bash Trump. They are leftist. That's their job. If they supported Trump, they wouldn't be a leftist site. No matter what, they have to come up with dirt on Trump and spin things. Everything that came out about Trump was the "final straw that will sink him." First it was an access Hollywood report that was supposed to sink him. It did nothing. Then it was the Mueller Report. It did nothing. Then it was supposed to be NY Times releasing his taxes revealing he lost billions in a decade that was supposed to sink him (which he already admitted to losing on the Apprentice over a decade ago) Nothing happened. Then it was the killing of Solemani that was supposed to start WW3. Nothing happened. Then it was supposed to be the impeachment that sinks him. Did nothing. Then, it's supposed to be Bernie who will sink him. When that fails, don't get mad. Trump is one of the most attacked Presidents in history, if not the most attacked President in history, and he's still standing smiling at the podium with thousands at his rallies.

That's what Faux Noise says it does. That doesn't make it so.

Okay, different question: Bonespurs lost the popular vote, right?

Trump lost the popular vote, but that doesn't mean anyone else won it.

If you want someone to agree with you, then yes I think apathy has won every US election in recent history.
Hillary lost it less than Trump. Does that meet your approval?

Because the crime is so obvious and has been since day one, the republican strategy from that same day one has not wavered. Keep screaming witch-hunt, keep discrediting credible witnesses, keep screaming fake-news, and try to dismiss this thing as quickly as possible so that it just goes away to keep anything new from being known.

If this case was in an actual courtroom Trumpo would be found guilty as hell and every republican ever elected knows that. But it's not a courtroom and it's not an impartial jury.

You gotta give slimy republicans credit because they know they're fucked when it comes to facts. They also know that in an actual courtroom they could never get away with all the shit that is happening.

Hang them high first then ask the questions of whether they're guilty or not later hey! Typically totalitarian leftist thinking.

During the dark ages, women mostly, and men were thrown into a lake tied up and unable to swim. If they floated and didn't drown, they were presumed to be not guilty.

Yeah, that isn't what happened, isn't what is happening. That is a load of bullshit that we've come to expect from the right-wingers. Trump was caught. And after all of the denial from Trump, the White House, and the GOP, we are now hearing the argument... 'well yeah, he did do it, but it doesn't rise to the level of impeachment'.

Angelo, do you think Trump has obstructed the impeachment investigation by defying all subpoenas for documents?

Angelo, do you think Trump has obstructed the impeachment investigation by defying all subpoenas for documents?
Their argument on obstruction is that the Dems "rushed it" and didn't let the courts "resolve" the issue. Which is pure bullshit again, as the Trump Admin has blocked almost every attempt to disclose information, minus "the perfect call" transcript-ish. Also, the accusation is Obstruction of Congress, not Justice, which weakens the counter-argument... but at the same time, they will argue if the Dems had a stronger case, they'd have made the charge Obstruction of Justice, which is a clear crime.

These are professional high-grade obfuscaters.

Trump admitted to slander?

Who did Trump slander?

He sued a reporter for slander. Under oath he admitted he routinely exaggerates and makes things up. The reporter had it all documented. Trumps lost the suit.'

As to CNN both FOX and MSNBC are equally opinionated and biased. CNN is somewhere in-between on the left.

What FOX does that neither MSNBC nor CNN does is create and push fake news. It is blatant on FOX..

What FOX does is report the news from the other side. Since most people just read leftist newsites, of course they will bash Trump. They are leftist. That's their job. Trump's casino, airline, many real estae holdings, Trump University all failed. He was bankrupt and got bailed out by investors hoping to het something back.

He sted a publuic company getting many small investments by average people based on his name. He ende up screwing them all manging to walk away with money.

Today no one in the USA will loan him money. It is why he is sensitive about his financial status, it is a web of shady foreign banks generally beloved backed by Russian oligarchs. Or Russians laundering money by buying Trump [property at inflated value. You never hear that on FOX. It is all public record.

Shepard Smith formyl the editor in chief at FOX was being balanced and objective on Trump. Trump publicly criticized him. Shepard Smith was forced out, he resigned.

Being biased right or left is one thing. Being a propaganda arm of the president is another.

Yeah, if by "investors" you mean Russian Oligarchs. And guess what they wanted back?

Being biased right or left is one thing. Being a propaganda arm of the president is another.

And being the propaganda arm of Vlad Putin is the same "other thing".

Sen. Windsock just grow a pair?

Romney's questions said:
For Trump's lawyers: "Given that Rudy Giuliani’s May 10, 2019 letter to President Zelensky asserted he was acting with the “knowledge and consent” of President Trump, what did President Trump specifically task Giuliani to do in Ukraine?"

For Trump's lawyers: "In what instances did President Trump discuss corruption or burden sharing in relation to Ukraine prior to the date the security assistance was ordered withheld?"

For Trump's lawyers: "On what specific date did President Trump first order the hold on security assistance to Ukraine and did he explain the reason at that time?"
