I don't envy much or many but this, this view I do envy. From the bridge on our ”driveway”. There’s some wildlife in there for sure.

I finally got a photo of a beaver. My first. The beavers closest to me are just up the street from my parents old house at the Old Reservoir. But I haven't really been there first thing in the morning which is the best time to see them.
It was luck that at around 12pm today I was on my way for a walk at the reservoir that from the street I looked down and saw a brown blob in the water.
This is from about 320 feet away measured from Google Earth.

These beavers are a pain in the ass. The reservoir has an upper and lower pond bisected by a narrow earthen path with two "streams" that allow the water in the upper pond to flow into the lower pond and then out at the spillway. The beavers constantly block these streams so that the path floods and you can't hike the trail without waterproof boots.
There are otters too

Damn beavers. On my shit list today. I had about a half acre of creek side globe willows cleared out, and left 1 (one-count ‘em) 6-8” diameter cottonwood there, hoping it would get big and raise the ground level … less than three days later, there it lay. Too big for them to drag the 30 feet to the river, but they whacked it anyway.
Do you have ring tail civet cats out there? They are a common sight at our Sierra cabin. Really cute little buggers. We leave our BBQ leftovers for them. They mostly come out at night. Mostly. There are otters too
I've had none good Otter signing. It was winter. 2017.
I'd like more.

I have photos of woodchucks, muskrats, racoon, skunk, porcupine, red fox, mink, opossum, river otter, coyote, deer. In Canada black bears. One really bad photo of a moose. Beaver I was missing.
Trying to think whether there are other medum/large furry wild animals that are found in Massachusetts that I'm missing
I think that I'm only missing the fisher and bobcat.
I did see a dead fisher once in the woods in back of my house.

Never seen a live one. Jealous!Nope. Don't have them. They are a western critter.
