What will Trump do between now and January 20 at noon

I expect he really is going nuts without the aultation feedback loop.

Twitter's suspension statement.

After close review of recent Tweets from the @realDonaldTrump account and the context around them — specifically how they are being received and interpreted on and off Twitter — we have permanently suspended the account due to the risk of further incitement of violence.

In the context of horrific events this week, we made it clear on Wednesday that additional violations of the Twitter Rules would potentially result in this very course of action. Our public interest framework exists to enable the public to hear from elected officials and world leaders directly. It is built on a principle that the people have a right to hold power to account in the open.

However, we made it clear going back years that these accounts are not above our rules entirely and cannot use Twitter to incite violence, among other things. We will continue to be transparent around our policies and their enforcement.

The below is a comprehensive analysis of our policy enforcement approach in this case.

Interesting reasoning I had not though of, like...

We assessed the two Tweets referenced above under our Glorification of Violence policy, which aims to prevent the glorification of violence that could inspire others to replicate violent acts and determined that they were highly likely to encourage and inspire people to replicate the criminal acts that took place at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021.

This determination is based on a number of factors, including:

President Trump’s statement that he will not be attending the Inauguration is being received by a number of his supporters as further confirmation that the election was not legitimate and is seen as him disavowing his previous claim made via two Tweets (1, 2) by his Deputy Chief of Staff, Dan Scavino, that there would be an “orderly transition” on January 20th.

The second Tweet may also serve as encouragement to those potentially considering violent acts that the Inauguration would be a “safe” target, as he will not be attending.

The use of the words “American Patriots” to describe some of his supporters is also being interpreted as support for those committing violent acts at the US Capitol.

The mention of his supporters having a “GIANT VOICE long into the future” and that “They will not be disrespected or treated unfairly in any way, shape or form!!!” is being interpreted as further indication that President Trump does not plan to facilitate an “orderly transition” and instead that he plans to continue to support, empower, and shield those who believe he won the election.

Plans for future armed protests have already begun proliferating on and off-Twitter, including a proposed secondary attack on the US Capitol and state capitol buildings on January 17, 2021.

This talk about nuclear codes. President can't just order nuclear strike on China or Russia? right?

He can do it while he masturbates reading the latest installment of GoatFuckingTeens at his desk, I suppose. Having been in military service I know it would not happen, the nuclear strike part that is.

It's not very reassuring. The way I understand it, these codes (he has) just allows these guys to launch it, or not. I don't really trust they won't.

Nancy Pelosi has said she has spoken to a top general about this situation. It's unknown what was said but hopefully this will not occur now.

When Nixon's presidency was in its last couple of days, there was quiet back-channel activity to head off any crazy action from the President. The same has happened here, and I think we are safe from this Trump threat. He doesn't literally push a launch button. He has "the football", which sends an order to initiate an attack. The joint chiefs have said they will not let an illegal order go through. Trump is depressed and lethargic right now. He's nuts, but I think a lot of his energy is spent. He's like King Kong after a couple dozen planes have riddled him with bullets...there's gonna be a giant, squishy thud.

Michael Cohen offers a glimpse inside the dark world of an unhinged Twitter-less Trump

To make matters worse, on Friday evening, the disgraced president has been silenced by the world's largest social media platforms. He's lost the presidency, and more importantly, his ability to reach his massive base. Insiders have revealed that President Donald Trump is sequestered inside of the White House, only opting to speak with a select number of people who have typically been supportive of his governing and actions.

Now, his former attorney Michael Cohen is weighing in with a vivid depiction of what may be the darkest days of the Trump presidency. Amid this week's chaos, Cohen appeared on "The New Abnormal" where he discussed all that has transpired over the last several days and the next unpredictable moves Trump could make in his final days. Not mincing words, Cohen made it clear that Trump is likely coming more unhinged by the day.

"I am certain that Donald Trump is psychotic right now," Cohen said, adding, "Donald Trump would rather burn down the White House, then turn over the keys."

Cohen went on to offer a relatively colorful explanation of the difference between his prior affiliation with Trump compared to the "seditious acts" that occurred at the U.S. Capitol. The former attorney argued that there is no comparison between the two.

"I did work for him. And what did I do? I paid $130,000, you know, to keep quiet. The fact that the president got his pecker pulled by a porn star, seriously?" Cohen said, adding, "And you want to compare that to the seditious acts of these Proud Boys, of the Wolverine Watchmen and all these other crazy groups? You can't compare the two."

I believe that he needs to be out at noon on the 20th. Not the 21st. Traditionally the outgoing president gets the use of Air force One, one last time when moving to wherever. I wonder if Biden would allow that. It's tradition, not law. Does Trump still have his 757?

Why not leave now? What is he waiting for? Go to Florida. Don’t resign, just vacate the office. If he waits until the 21st, he’ll end up having to take an Uber.

Any move towards packing is acknowledging that he lost. That's not in him. He's always been able to bully friends and lawyer enemies to move deadlines, duck consequences, extend and invent his options.
He's out of his league.
He's still playing tabloid headlines while his opponents are defending their dissertation.

... and if he does have that 757, where is its maintenance hangar?
(asking for a friend)

It may be the same friend: I know a Richard Colvin Reid who'd love to go anywhere the ex-Pres is going. Doesn't matter. Rich is a shoe salesman and has contacts all over.

Technically he can, but I wouldn't worry about it too much, Russia is probably safe. Canada, on the other hand...
