Twitter likely to take idiots offer to buy them for $43 billion

Musk is African-American.
Musk is not an African-American.

African American: "an ethnic group consisting of Americans with partial or total ancestry from any of the black racial groups of Africa.[3][4] The term "African American" generally denotes descendants of enslaved Africans who are from the United States."

Elon Musk: "born to a Canadian mother and White South African father"
Surely these days the buzz word is self-identification. If Musk wishes to identify as Africa-American who are you to say he is not? I can identify as a woman if i wish so what is the problem?

;) Well... he was born in Africa, and is now an American... so technically he would be "African-American". He is not, however, "black".
Yeah, and if you own a house, and you own a boat, then technically you also own both a boathouse and a houseboat.

Unless, of course English doesn't work like that, and "African-American" has a meaning that differs from "African and American".

Neglecting the fact that reality has a left bias. The far right spews far more crap far loudly than the far left does, so when you remove extremist crap you're mostly removing stuff from the right.

Woah. Elon was correct.

He may change his opinion when the insane people on the far left and the insane people on the far right start looking for his blood. But yeah, that's what freedom of speech sounds like and I'm all for it. We shouldn't rely on pappa tech to treat us like children and censor everything. It's not like that does any good to stop bad people (Twitter wasn't around for Hitler). What it would do is make it easier to find the nut jobs on either side because many of them can't help but to go public.

What, that people died at The Capitol Bldg?
You make this sound like the rioters killed people.
No, I made it sound like people died at the Capitol.
Two people died of natural causes, one was a protester killed by police, and one was a protester trampled by other protesters, for a total of four people (all protesters/rioters/whatever you want to call them).
Thank you for supporting my statement that people died at the Capitol Bldg.

And let us not mention the 140+ injured police. Or the ones who elected to end their own lives due to terrorist-inflicted mental trauma.
Emily likes to call the terrorists “protesters” but they were there to forcefully overthrow - not to protest - the results of a free and fair democratic election. That’s terrorism plain and simple.

The left consistently mistakes disparate outcomes with discrimination when it comes to matters of race and the like. This is an example of the right making the same mistake--you assume a disparate outcome (more stuff blocked from the right) proves an unfair process. Did you walk into the bedroom mirror today and fall through?

Both ends of the spectrum spout lots of crazy crap.

I was specifically addressing your evaluation of fair as a matter of equal blocking without regard for how much material warranted blocking. That's a leftist position.

right wingers free to say whatever they want with suppression
That kind of highlights the issue
1) Way to chop the quote in mid sentence

2) So doxxing and inciting riots is okay now? I assume death threats are also okay too I can say whatever I want..
1) The chop mid sentence was rather the point ;) Low-hanging fruit and all that.
2) What? Where on earth did that come from?

It's not all that often that I'm the one making a joke that other people are completely missing...

I was being generous and referring to everyone involved in street riots and violence over the last couple of years as "protestors".

I’d say your generosity accrues to the terrorist component of the Jan 6 crowd. Because almost all the rest of protesters were genuine protesters. And NONE of the rest were attempting to replace our democracy with an autocracy as the Jan6 terrorists intended.
Personally I am disinclined to be generous to terrorist traitors.

Whatever. Occupying a portion of a city is also the act of an insurgency, and setting buildings on fire with people in them is also pretty much a terrorist act.

In all of the events - including Jan 6 - some of the people present have been peaceful protestors... and some of them have been tioters intent on causing harm and damage. You can pick and choose with of those are "freedom fighters" and which are "insurgents" based on your own partisanship. I'm inclined to view them all as ne'er-do-wells.

That false equivalence is somewhat disturbing. Intentionally committing vehicular homicide a la Charlottesville is also a “form of insurgency” and a despicable act. But it’s a far cry from a coup attempt. Burning a cop shop or courthouse is nothing at all like trying to prevent the peaceful transfer of presidential power - an essential component of democracy - in order to illegally install a populist conman (or anyone else) to rule over the Land.

If we lose our democracy, we will have holders of that specious “both sides” argument to thank.

Well, them and all the liberals who died failing to make the fascists die or give up first.

Sure, but it’s no fun blaming stuff on people who died.
Are you serious, that's how Christianity operates on it's most fundamental level. Make "Jesus" do the time for you and it's all good.
