I've never had a matching scarf and hat, but this one looks good. I like the colors! What wool are you using?

That's a wool/synthetic blend. I don't really like working with it but it does make a cozy scarf.

Floof, could you post another picture of the scarf alone by the light?

Everybody's allowed in Canada. Our population's too small and our border's too long to afford a wall. Maybe a privacy hedge.

Not true. We had a friend visit from Florida one year, and the border turned him away when we were trying to go to Victoria BC. Apparently, a 40+ year old assault charge from one's late teens is an undesirable trait to those wily Canucks.

Gotcha. Looks like you prefer the lighter yarns that make for finer fabrics. What about chunky yarn? The closest thing I have to a dark solid is a chunky. I have lots of lighter weight acrylics but there's no way I'm making a gift scarf out of that crap.

I wear either cotton scarfs or cashmere. I don't wear acrylic anything. I don't like the chunky scarfs either. Since I wear scarfs only when I need to, and never as a fashion statement, the scarfs need to be functional, warm, and not itchy, and cashmere is the warmest and softest wool I know.

Not personally, no. But maybe that's just me. And I do wear scarves, but I don't think I'd wear that one. I'm not denigrating it al all. And you seem to be a very skilful scarf-maker.
