"Me Too" Judge Roy Moore

We cannot impeach the state of Alabama.. we can, however, reject Alabama's pick from taking a seat in the Senate, and tell the people of Alabama that they aren't doing a good enough job, and to pick an adult that can work with the other grownups in Senate, or forgo representation at all.
If Roy Moore is not an adult, then going after teenagers is just age-appropriate.

To be fair, he hasn't been convicted of anything. So to remove him from his elected position would be setting a bad precedence. If Alabama elects him, we should just impeach the state and give them what they wanted back in 1860, their own country.

Unacceptable. I'm going to have to insist that they at least take Georgia and Arkansas with them.

All this "I believe the women" bullshit... I think that EVERY time one of those republizards says they "believe the women", they should be forced to answer "Does that mean you believe the women who were attacked by Donald Trump?"

Assholes... they "believe" whateverthefuck is most expedient for them at the moment.

^^^ That 10,000x

And Mississippi. And Texas.

Don't all those mental gymnastics make you tired, Derec?

But thanks for admitting to everyone that you are pro-pedophilia. Are you going to apologize to all those Catholics and Muslims for saying that pedophilia was a bad thing when they did it?

How does my parallel between Roy Moore's wife and Bill Clinton's wife both saying that their husbands are victims of a conspiracy equate to you believing that I do not know who the president is?

Because what Hillary did is completely irrelevant to whether or not Trump is guilty. It's just a sad, obvious, and desperate attempt to change the subject. That's why tu quoque is a fallacy. Would it help if we explain to you what a fallacy is?

Is there any law against signing high school yearbooks if you are over 30?

If anything, the yearbook entry (if genuine) makes it more likely that any sexual encounter between the two was consensual, not forced.

How about this scenario? They did go behind the restaurant in his car. She gave him a consensual blowjob. Nothing wrong with that, as she was 16 and thus of age, and really it's less than what Slick Willy did in the Oral Office. She feels guilty about being that easy, however, and over the years retells the story as one of sexual assault. There is also possibility of financial inducement to tell the "assault" story publicly now. It is worth investigating if Tom Steyer or somebody like him is behind this.

Best lies are built upon a scaffolding of truth.

He's not an out and out rapist. Perhaps he forced some girls to go a bit farther than they wanted to. The main issue is the power imbalance, though. If there's a big power imbalance things tend not to be fully consensual. The weak one complies because they feel they have to, not because they want to.

Moore's wife says this is all the result of a conspiracy! I'm surprised she managed to avoid any mention of gay frogs. What's the point of a right wing conspiracy theory if they don't mention the gay frogs or Obama's secret weather weapon? Bah.

I remember another wife going on about vast conspiracies ...

And we've seen enough bits of it by now that she's probably right, certainly not in loony-bin territory.

Political partisans in the upper management conspire all the time. Every time they have a confidential meeting to discuss political strategy, it's almost a conspiracy. When they have such meeting or discussion to do something nefarious, like campaign attacks, then between the confidential discussion and the nefariousness, it is by definition a conspiracy. So, for example, when the Republican talking machine got together and decided to create false talking points against Clintons it was indeed a vast right-wing conspiracy. And I think you sort of agree, maybe. However, let me repeat the point from before, it's not relevant to the thread. This is a distraction Derec is creating to protect his favorite hebephile. As much as you think you want to, don't go down the rabbit hole. Bring it back. Roy Moore. Hebephile, liar and hypocrite.

This just shows how easily manipulated the average conservative is by anti-Jewish rhetoric.

This is why I roll my eyes any time I hear the term "judeo-Christian."

Wow:
The only way they could have made it more triggering was if "Bernie" had affected a gay-sounding lisp.

Misinformation is probably the most dangerous thing in our country. It's probably the biggest problem.

So it seems like it was a consensual relationship, and the only thing wrong was that she was a year and a half or so younger than the arbitrary legal threshold. Looking at the  age of consent map, it looks like the young prosecutor and even younger Miss Leigh would have been fine in much of Latin America and even Europe. And as far as the other two girls, they were legal, so no problem there.

It is also predicated on the woman telling the entire truth. I am not saying she is lying, but we do not know one way of the other. She could also be mostly telling the truth, but embellishing key points, such as her level of aggressiveness.

This #metoo nonsense is putting Democrats in danger of becoming more puritan than Republicans. Everything is "harassment" or "assault" these days.

Yeah, it does sound like a consensual relationship, if you believe her. If you believe him, it never happened. If you believe him, there are a half dozen middle aged women who think telling similar stories about him, is something fun to do.

The problem here is, Moore doesn't say, "What I did was not wrong." What Moore says is, "I didn't do anything." He's gone so far as to say he never met one of the women, even though he signed her high school yearbook.

The dilemma a citizen faces here, is not deciding if Roy Moore like teen age girls enough to get himself banned from a shopping mall, or whether he asked a girl's mother before taking her out on a date.

The real problem is why a grown man would consistently lie about his past behavior. Whether we think he did something wrong,or not, is not relevant. It's clear that Moore thinks his behavior was reprehensible enough to deny it ever happened.

Moore is the kind of stupid that will always blame others and never take personal responsibility.

What she was facing was more than the usual political garbage. IUt's the norm for the Republicans these days, though.

I've been following this on another forum - one for the more religiously right wing - and the reasoning for still backing Moore are equally depressing & unsurprising.

Essentially, what he did was a bad idea, but not 'inherently immoral' (going back as usual to that unless something is inherently or objectively immoral, its the same as flavours of ice-cream - the usual nonsense), and as he allegedly got parental consent that's another tick in his book. and at the end of the day, at least he isn't pro murdering babies, so he is objectively the lesser evil in the race.

The conversation quickly branched off to how old girls were when they got married in the bible - thus making it a bad idea in todays society but not 'inherently immoral'.

Where do these people live and do they have young teenaged daughters I can fuck?

I could do a Christian based porn series - Barely Moral Teens.

You don't want to fuck Evangelical teenagers, at least not without a condom. See, there's this thing called "abstinence only" education which teaches evangelical teens that condoms don't work. So instead of using condoms, they are having anal sex as a form of contraception. As you probably remember from the AIDS crisis, unprotected anal sex is a very efficient way to transmit sexually-transmitted diseases.

It's not just Catholics who are OK with pedophilia. It's most Christians.
