We went to Umass Boston today because my son who is going back to a full semester of school wanted to show me the campus.

I got a new lifer. An American Oystercatcher.

Not a wild bird (Seattle Aquarium) but here’s a black oystercatcher

I went out today looking for wildlife. At Fraiser Point at the Schoodic section of Acadia National Park a pair of bald eagles just flying around. Bald eagles mate for life and their chicks are off doing their thing so I expect this pair is just enjoying themselves.



Still at Schoodic, when the tide is down you can cross to Little Moose Island.




I was about to cross and saw on the opposite side this red fox. It was well across on the opposite side and going along the intertidal zone until it went up into the bushes.

I didn't get a lot of wildlife photos this trip to Maine that ends tomorrow.

Probably my best two are this groundhog and a first for me bird, a Northern Parula.
