The Race For 2024

You know what worries me way more than Trump in the white house? It's the fact that Republicans took the Senate, and there's a real risk that they might take the House as well. That's terrifying. I really really wanted a blockade in place given the options we were given.

Plenty of time to destroy the 2 term limit. I reckon that’ll be done by 2027.
It will be removed not destroyed.
The 22nd amendement was added and so it can be removed or amended.
They can’t get 2/3 of anything. Trashing the Constitution is easier.
That's also requires 2/3...

Okay, joking aside, how do you think that would happen? What chain of events do you think would result in the constitution being tossed out?

Yes they will have a unified government, or close enough that they can achieve it through bullying and credible threats.
Guess we get to see how hyperbolic all the left’s claims are, eh Emily? There’s a big lineup of power hungry, money grubbing tools just waiting to get to work on it.

Mere pronouncement. “Im suspending the Constitution temporarily to save our great Country from the gravest of threats”
Don’t like it? Go near any windows. Proud boys might pay your family a visit too.

So Montana and Arizona pass abortion referendum and then elect the party that killed Roe v Wade and are in close proximity to ban abortion all together. Almost as if the average American voter (black women aside) are "fucking stupid" when it comes to politics.
They CAN'T ban abortion all together. SC's decision was that it's a state matter; the only way Reps could push for an abortion ban would be a constitutional amendment. And there's no way that will get ratified.
Pass a bill banning abortion nationwide in the House. The senate passes the same bill and sends it to Trump. He signs it. Abortion is now illegal nationwide.

Schoolhouse Rock FTW.

The people have spoken. Now, let’s see if we can get back to not idolizing politicians while they screw us all. :eating_popcorn:

You skipped the part where liberal states sue and the supreme court wipes their asses with the paperwork.

The Rolling Stones' 'You Can't Always Get What You Want' is fake news now that Republicans control all three branches of the U.S. government.

And the Supremes pull one of these to make a federal abortion ban constitutional.

I must say you've got to admire the Republican's tenacity. Ever since Obama got elected they've used every dirty trick in the book to get to this point. They stole a SC pick from Obama a year before the election, then installed an SC pick just days before an election. They run up huge deficits then blame the Dems for not bringing down the debt fast enough. They blame Dems for assassination attempts done by Republicans. They let clear wrongdoing by Trump get by and try to bring impeachment on Biden for basically just winning the election.

And last but not least, if a Dem tried to do the half the dirty tricks the Republicans have done they would scream bloody murder, rend their garments, and shit themselves, which they would also blame on the Dems.

Yes, it's the Dems fault that they lost. Playing fair is a sucker's game nowadays.

They ruled there is no federal protection to abortion. One of these days, you are gonna actually understand this stuff.

Drugs are illegals with no constitional amendmemt.

Travel Advisory: Visiting the United States Post-January 20th, 2025

Attention travelers: As of January 20, 2025, the United States will be under the unified control of the Republican Party across the executive, legislative, and judicial branches. In light of the implementation of Project 2025, we offer the following travel tips to ensure your visit is as smooth as possible:

  1. Visas and Entry Requirements: Double-check your eligibility! While entry to the U.S. may now require a detailed background check to confirm that you have never retweeted anything deemed ‘woke,’ expect a special fast lane for visitors who can recite at least three bible verses verbatim (bonus points if you include some worship).
  2. Local Laws and Customs: New policies under Project 2025 may have led to changes in public decorum. For instance, expressing skepticism about American exceptionalism in public may result in an invitation to an impromptu viewing of Lee Greenwood performing God Bless The U.S.A in a cowboy hat and speedos for seven days and seven nights.
  3. Cultural Etiquette: While visiting major U.S. cities, prepare for friendly debates that start with phrases like, “Back in my day…” or “This is what true freedom looks like.” If someone asks for your opinion on historical figures, responses should include the word “patriot” when speaking of white individuals only.
  4. Dress Code Advisory: The latest trends may lean heavily toward flag-adorned apparel. When in doubt, wear red, white, and blue. Just be cautious with any rainbow patterns; they could trigger a constitution-themed fire arm.
  5. Sightseeing Tips: Monuments and museums might now come with ‘Project 2025-approved’ guided tours, complete with rewritten plaques that emphasize values such as “individual liberty” and “God-given rights.” The word ‘nuance’ might be on a temporary sabbatical, so prepare accordingly.
  6. Media and Entertainment: As visitors, be mindful that news outlets may present a unified, enthusiastic tone. Terms like “fake news” will be relegated to anything older than January 20th 2025. When watching TV, “Happy Hour” will consist of footage from the most recent congressional circle jerk.
  7. Public Announcements: It is customary to stand at attention whenever national anthems, pledges, or the ‘Top 10 Speeches of Freedom’ playlist starts playing in public spaces. This happens regularly, so wear comfortable shoes.
  8. Conversations with Locals: Be ready for questions like, “What are your thoughts on freedom?” The answer should be passionate, ideally with historical references and a nod to the Founding Fathers. Always avoid starting sentences with, “Well, in my country…” unless your idea of light conversation includes immediate deportation.
  9. Departure Notes: When going through customs, you may be ask if you’re carrying anything subversive, such as foreign newspapers or differing opinions. Any quips about God emperor Trump will be met with polite smiles and anal screenings.
Enjoy your stay in the land of the free (terms and conditions apply)!
