Split Biden or Trump too old?

To notify a split thread.
And most republicans couldn't even NAME six elements. ;)
Cosmologists can't name more than three. :)
Of course they can.

They just don't think there's any point in discussing trace amounts of stuff that doesn't matter.

It's a matter of perspective; The universe is made of hydrogen and helium, and trace amounts of some metals.

The solar system is the Sun, Jupiter, and assorted debris.

The Earth is an iron core wrapped in silicon dioxide, with some impurities.

(Including us).

Nobody going to mention the Cheatsheetgate?

It's not like it's the SATs!

Is this like Trump's on how to appear to be empathetic?

The thing is, on paper Palin's resume doesn't look bad at all. And don't come to me with "Alaska has a tiny population". So does Delaware, but Alaska has a huge area, and a lot of natural resources to manage.
Delaware has more than twice the population of Alaska. Remember? Corporations are people!

And 2008 had the Great Recession, and economic turmoil is never good for the incumbent party.

We had the Republican Recession.

Bush and the Republicans had managed to trash our economy, as well as foreign policy. So thoroughly did their tax cuts and deregulation, their "borrow and spend" fiscal insanity, and getting mired in two unwinnable "Bush Wars" screw up the U.S. that a turnip on a stick could beat any candidate with an (R) after their name.

Pretty stark contrast to John McCain. He picked the best pair of boobs ever seen in a presidential campaign.
McCain's Veep had to be a woman, to play to the PUMA crowd salty that Hilary lost. And the evangelical wing did not trust McCain, so they foisted Palin onto McCain. The thing is, on paper Palin's resume doesn't look bad at all. And don't come to me with "Alaska has a tiny population". So does Delaware, but Alaska has a huge area, and a lot of natural resources to manage. Just too bad McCain's people did not have much time to vet her and sit down with her before she was selected ...
And despite McCain being a rich white war hero with DC experience, Obama kicked his ass!
Obama is a generational political talent. And 2008 had the Great Recession, and economic turmoil is never good for the incumbent party. So he had all the advantages going in. Pretty much the only candidate who could have screwed up that kind of a layup was Hillary, as she demonstrated 8 years later.

But that was a long time ago.
Seems like a different century sometimes.
Nope: McCain’s VP had to be a woman to prove that the GOP was t as anti-woman as it’s legislative initiatives seemed to suggest.

Hillary was cursed by her history as wife of Slick Willy. I personally strongly disliked Bill and struggled to like Hillary but I sure did very proudly vote for her. Nothing could have convinced me to vote for any ticket with Palin on it.

Side note: a former co-workers close relative was a college classmate of Hillary. The talk of the day was that she’d be the first female POTUS. Sadly she lost her race to tragic results. A bunch of people refused to vote for her because she is a woman. A bunch because she was/was still married to Bill.

Hard to say if it’s willful ignorance or just plain old dumbness but still not grasping why Trump won. And probably going to have that same dumb look if Trump wins again.

Trump has never won an election the American people could vote on.

He pulled out an Electoral College win once, despite losing to Hillary by almost 3,000,000 votes. But he's never won a popular election, he's only managed to get appointed by state legislatures. He got his election butt kicked by Biden by nearly 8,000,000 votes, who also kicked Trump's ass in the EC.

You can fool some of the people all of the time. You can fool all of the people some of the time.
But you can't fool all of the people all of the time.

Kamala Harris could kick his ass yet again if they went head to head. But I'm pretty sure Grampa Joe will still get top billing.

Trump is worse, sure. No argument there.
No... not worse. FUCKING INTOLERABLE. The SCOTUS judges his Presidency (or any GOP President) got us the most biased and unprofessional Christian Taliban SCOTUS In our nation's history. They are making Plessy v Ferguson and Dred Scot look like something they'd pen. The but Biden... is nothing. But nothing.
...
Jebus fucking Christ. Talk about no sense of perspective and magnitude. Full out Moore-Coutler. The GOP wanted to kill Title IX. There would be no women's collegiate sports if it weren't for the Democrats.

Like Mr. Higgins, I am unhappy with Ms. Lake's perspective. To even compose a sentence comparing Trump (or almost any other present-day Republican) with a Democrat like Biden shows a frightening lack of perspective even with an emphatic "No argument there."

"Botulisnm-infected dog poop is a worse food than cole slaw. No argument there."

Here's one of my (many many) pet peeves:

I wish people would just drop this misguided meme that Hillary won the 2016 election, or that the popular vote is relevant.

Baseball games are won by most runs, NOT by most hits. Not by most total bases.

Tennis matches are won by most sets, not most games, not most points. Football games are won by most points, not by most total yards, not by most first downs.

And U.S. Presidential elections are won by most electoral votes. One of the few intelligent things Trump ever said is that he would have campaigned differently if he was trying for most popular votes. Conversely, Hillary's campaign stupidly took its "eyes off the ball," trying to win popular votes and forgetting that the electoral votes of states like Pennsylvania were all that mattered.

It wasn't the popular vote they were going for, it was the electoral vote. They wanted to do what Biden ended up managing, winning Georgia and Arizona. Clinton suffered most of her career of playing it safe. This one time, she goes for the Electoral College throat, and the blue wall fell. Which is something that wasn't exactly something most of us were expecting. Some people in those states were launching flares, but again, people talk about 2016 like it was a sure thing 'she blew the north'.

Trump won the US election by an aggregate total of about 75,000 votes in those three critical states with about 14 million total votes casted. That isn't exactly a complete collapse by Clinton. Trump defied all known convention. Pussygate would have ended anyone else.

Thank you, Mr. Man, for telling my poor little woman brain what is most important for women. I couldn't possibly figure out my own priorities, without you here to tell me what I am allowed to care about.
So do I think Loren is a woman when I think they are wrong too?
Only if you think he's wrong about what aspects of women's rights he should care about, I guess?
Also, are you *still* trying to force that Moore-Coulter crap to be a thing? Give it up already, Jimmy. You're a great guy when you're not stuck on your partisan hobby horse.
You mispelled, "Whenever I agree with you."
Nah, not really. Most of the time, even when I disagree with you I still think you're a good guy, and I give it good odds we'd even get along IRL.

It's genuinely just the "Moore-Coulter" thing that I get stuck on.

Oh please, do inform me of what view I'm allowed to have?

Clearly, having my own view makes some guys "unhappy"... and apparently I'm supposed to care about that.

You are quite allowed to be wrong, missing the point, choosing poor priorities, incapable of getting "the big picture". You have the absolute American right to all of that.
Clearly, having my own view makes some guys "unhappy"... and apparently I'm supposed to care about that.
Well, while you are busy on your pedestal, the right-wing conservative voters that couldn't for a moment stand Donald Trump as their nominee... voted for him and got three SCOTUS justices and a huge slate of wickedly partisan judicial nominees that are already doing a number on our judicial review system.

I mean, the good news for you is those nominees and you are in alignment with transgender rights. So you have little to worry about... I mean other than the other women stuff, like access to generic birth control pills. And with Title IX ruled unconstitutional, trans in women's sports won't even be a possible issue. :)
